Their patent sounds a bit like Tesla and their silicon in polymer anode they claimed at battery day. Though, i didn't hear anything from that since then and Elon also didn't mention anodes recently. Maybe it didn't work out. They are at any case doing graphite based cells for the most part. So does almost everyone else while there are hundreds of alternative approaches being researched.

I guess the jury is still out if this group14 technology works at industry scale or not. I would put them in a similar camp as solid state for now until there is more to it than rumors. Still looking forwards to the Talga announcement of NV offtakes. To be clear I have no inside knowledge but it's IMHO the best fit to the data we have.
