If you look at some of the other days where shorts closed en masse (Apr 7, Apr 26, Nov 3), they were days where TLG made 7-20% moves up. Those were with ~300K-500K shorts closing. We're over double that now.
Not promising anything. But this setup looks nice by the numbers.
