The latest outstanding shorts total (1.18m) is as at Mon 10 Jan (ASIC reports are always about 4 days in arrears). It may be interesting to see if that figure starts to drop when ASIC gets around to reporting on Wed to Fri last week when TLG lifted nicely on (ASX) volume of around 1.9m on those 3 days.
It MAY be that some short covering was/is underway which would have helped the northwards share price trajectory. I say MAY, because there are a lot of shorters who aren't that clever!
