For anyone who is interested in the shorting discussion last week, ASIC has now reported on outstanding TLG shorts up to 14 Jan.
To recap, on 12/13/14 Jan, TLG's share price rose nicely from $1.635 to touch $1.75 on no news. We were contemplating last week whether some short covering (ie seemingly prudent reduction of the 1.18m shorts) may have contributed to the rises.
And the answer is NO. The outstanding - & underwater - shorts as at 14 Jan remained nearly unchanged at 1.183m. So the shorter "bravery" continues while we await the upcoming quarterly & hopefully a preceding positive announcement or two.
