Seems obvious to me too. Graphite is the largest component by weight in a Lithium Ion Battery, so it has the highest carbon emission costs to transport. By using ultra-green local Graphite, Nickel and/or Iron Northvolt stands to make the greenest battery on the planet. Their only emission penalties will come from the lithium, which they'll have to import. They'll get to sell that ultra-green battery straight into the market with highest carbon taxes on the planet, which means they'll be able to charge a nice premium.
