Also not even cost analysis in yet. Do these bureaucrats actually know anything about the design, implementation and operations of telecommunications networks. Its complex and expensive, a govt mandated cabal of highly paid bureaucrats riiiight that gives me lots of confidence.
How are they going to deploy these networks + migrate existing carrier services to these bearers (that in itself will be a full scale mission, the competency of some of the carriers *cough AAPT cough TPG* is.... astoundingly poor) with nothing more than a bunch of offices and bureuacrats. Running on telstra nextg routers incidentally (got this first hand lol).
If they go full steam and hire truckloads of real engineers, get carrier grade equipment in and start laying down / buying fibre, and we start seeing concrete deployments going in on time within budget then maybe they have some leverage. Until that happens its just a paper tiger, and thodey knows it.
