I wonder the same thing when I saw the article, bvw. The buy side has been overwhelming for the last few days. I also wonder if the appointment of this new Chinese director, which have been received positively in the media, has contributed to this huge demand of Telstra.
Austar is I think another positive development with Telstra. From reading the news about Austar I get the impression that ACCC will approve the takeover by Foxtel. I think if/when that happens that will only strengthen Telstra's position as the dominant telco in OZ.
So at this stage, like mikeyowie, I am sitting tight (with a tail between my leg).
