Abbott and Turnbull decided to paint the biggest national infrastructure project in decades as more "debt and deficit disaster" from Labor. "Budget emergencies" and all of that garbage.
So we now have a multi technology mix which is expensive, slow, and will probably be replaced within 10 years at our expense. The biggest waste of money in the name of political opportunism I have seen in my life.
If it was FTTP, the value of the NBN would be much greater, the advantages to the economy would be much greater, uptake would be greater, speeds would be greater, and ISPs wouldn't be dealing with this race to the bottom pricing scheme.\
The Telco sector would probably be much healthier right now if this "fake" NBN wasn't being rolled out.
