Charting is a way to try and gain some extra insight, to help see what is there, but maybe not obvious, it is at best an educated guess still.
The market is dynamic as well, so the charts might suggest a direction, but an new event happens somewhere that influences things, it doesnt mean the chart or interpretation was wrong at the time, its that its just not possible to predict things that haven't happened yet.
Its difficult to be objective when looking at charts, there is enough indicators and methods to convince yourself of anything.
