Im not an expert on candles either, just voicing an opinion, i guess your right it would be stronger signal if volume was higher, but not sure.
I suspect the SP stopped where it is mostly because of historical reference, if financial comparisons where made with last time the SP was that low, then its not unreasonable to think the share price can fall further, but if you look wider there has been a lot of effort trying to broaden Telstras earnings since then as well (mostly Tech), which is worth something, probably not as much as was spent on it but thats another story.
There is also the suggestion of unlocking hidden value by splitting of infraco, which wasnt considered during previous lows.
There has also been a lot of capital spent readying for 5G that has not got a return yet, but will.
There is value in Telstra even if the financials dont look good.
