    With charting, im just trying to see its current trajectory that investors have put it on, which is useful in the short term, as soon as there is significant change in the company, or industry wide changes, then that trajectory is changed, so that short term chart loses relevance.

    Long term charts can be useful in seeing the trajectory is the business, its operations, management etc, you see past the noise of short term trends.

    Telstra, more than most shares is desired for its dividend, and the full year result is making it hard for those investors to ignore the earnings decline which has been happening for some time, and many are giving up, capitulating.

    Investing in TLS is a bit like trying to catch a very slowly falling knife, it is going to stop falling, but its hard to have the required patience.
