At the current price of about $3.79 TLS provides approx. 7% dividend plus approx 40% franking, and you wont have to wait long to get paid on 21.9.12

As a previous poster stated, if you stay in for 13 months copping the current divy, plus the next feb/mch divy, plus the 2013 divy in aug/sep. you can gain .42 cents divy plus
approx 40% franking.
Thats a lot better than the banks pay.
And telstra mobile sales are climbing and 4G might make
sales improve further.
