For a fully franked dividend,ie: 100% franked, the franking credit refund is 0.43 times the dividend.For example: for a 20 cents per share fully franked dividend, the franking credit is 8.6 cents per share.Hence a gross divi of 28.6 cents.
For a dividend part franked A%, the franking credit refund is the dividend times 0.43 times A divided by 100.For example, suppose dividend is 20 cents per share 30% franked then the franking credit will be 20 times 0.43 times A divided by 100 =2.58 cents per share.Hence a gross divi of 22.58 cents per share.
