I have been asking myself the same question and the only reasons I can come up with are, mid year result were not very good , outages created doubt in Telstras network and future revenue, articles like Optus, Vodafone and who ever else, is moving in and taking a bite of Telstras pie meaning potentially more negative results in august which has not given investors much confidence allowing the shorter to move in
