You obviously haven't had much to do with the extractive industries. Unfounded comments are not very helpful to any investors.
All ASX listed companies are profit motivated and SH are primarily interested in their ROI so its a useless comment to compare one business/industry with another especially when the certain extractive industries' profits, EBITDA and free cashflows are going gang busters. I know which companies I would prefer holding right now.
