bvw1705 re: "carbon price modest as it is"... the proposed Australian tax is reportedly $23/tonne. Euro futures price is ?10.32 (under $A14). So not sure the Australian tax is that modest. But that's party political style nitpicking and not worthy of this forum.
Agree with your point that the proposed tax has little direct effect on TLS. May eventually lead to increased WAN and telepresence revenues I guess. Hard to estimate for NPV though.
The bigger news today was confirmation of terms for the Foxtel acquisition.
Hopefully those 'rivers of gold' NBN agreement monies will also be used for strategic acquisitions.
