Glen Stevens said today that rates will remain low until at least mid year and then most likely will go even lower. US fed have previously said indefinite stimulus until unemployement lowers & it hasn't yet. Ben's comments the other night were overblown by the markets & today they've realised it they wont stop feeding the markets until they meet the umemployment targets.

The situation remains the same even when Telstra gets into the 5s or 6s (with 30c+ div & growing mobile users). Cash rates will still not be earning enough after tax is paid & inflation takes hold. People are almost losing money in cash due to inflation & low rates.

The yield in Telstra & banks is double that of cash, with tax benifits, & superfunds know it! That super money isn't going to be sitting in cash in that kind of environment.
