From memory, a few years back, stores in China were selling tins at upwards 85 dollars a tin—some selling them north of 100 dollars a tin. Nowadays, in addition to the online options like Tmall, a person in China can directly walk into one of the mom-and-baby stores and purchase a tin for 48 dollars. So the margin no longer exists; the economics have changed. This is one of the reason why I said the problem is not something that can be resolved by just having the borders opened up. What is also interesting is, price correlates directly to demand. The sheer drop in the price per tin is the reason why I said that demand for the product has dropped.
