There has NOT been an impending merger/takeover timed within just a few weeks of the vote in any other year!
TMT is not enslaved to any need to rattle along doing the same thing in an entirely different situation and , reading those AGM vote notes again, it seems that they do want to free up the opportunity to place a full 25% of current shares by excluding the $11.5m placement earlier this year!
…. At any time in the next 12 months!
Whether they do it or not is arbitrary to the issue shareholders will vote on which is should they be allowed to do it regardless of the merger proposal.
