Yawn. Time will tell but I echo the other post about existing Board and Management capability.
Don't underestimate the connections and influence of a senior political figure. Here are a few things that come to mind quickly re funding in particular:
- Could be extremely useful in shining a light on TMT to secure State and Federal government funding (as long as other criteria are met).
- Could influence State and Federal government policy and initiatives that can support the vanadium industry (e.g. QLD investing in downstream prcessing capability and battery manufacturing).
- Notice Jo is also "Chair of the Government Employees Super Board" which has $35bn funds under management - potential for some direct investment (with appropriate disclosure)?
- From an institutional investor perspective, having someone of that calibre provides a massive tick for stability and perception of the company.
