*Ouch*? - for those wanting to excavate the land asap (regardless of ancient gorges etc) at any rate ?

Thanks for posting that Brad Thompson story Therookie88.

FWIW the recent TMT twitter post saying EPA board and team members were on site was posted June 14 - two days before Brad’s article.
—For me the news of a situation where ‘from July 1 things will potentially be more difficult in regards indigenous concerns’ makes that visit seem like a bit of a coup (especially if approvals come before July 1!)

Any what issues might there be?
From memory there was a past indigenous issue raised in regards a watercourse which the EPA considered but felt was non problematic?

    ah here ….
For anyone interested, I think it was sorted?
    It was published In July last year (page ):3 https://www.epa.wa.gov.au/sites/default/files/S43A/CMS17518 - s. 43A Notice - 080722.pdf

Beyond this the March 31, 2023 TMT quarterly wrote of indigenous issues:
    Traditional Owner Engagement
The Yugunga-Nya (YN) cultural community, represented by the Yugunga-Nya Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (YN PBC), have non-exclusive native title over lands including the MTMP area.
TMT continues to work constructively with the YN cultural community and YN PBC to enable informed consultation in regard to the proposed development of the Project.
TMT held a further series of briefing sessions for the YN community members in Perth, Meekatharra, and Geraldton during the quarter, providing an opportunity for consultation and direct engagement with the community members.
This engagement includes consultation on environmental and heritage matters and the way in which the Project can provide long-term benefits to the community through employment, contracting and training opportunities.
Further community briefing sessions with the YN community members are planned for the June 2023 quarter.

Hopefully with that June 14 EPA visit including rumoured consultations with the Yugunga-Nya group, and also seeing early stage contractor the indigenous-affiliatedIron Mine Contracting (see spoiler) already at work (?)

… … there is nothing standing in the way!

    cheers
