So far there has been no word on further developments there (possibly due to permits still pending? )

But, looking at SMS, I saw it’s knees deep into its own vanadium deal (including being a major shareholder) with Northern Territory project - Mt Peake.

Can someone who follows the whole sector please opine on whether they think the SMS affiliations elsewhere might be a threat to TMT’s Tata non-binding MOU.

(Disclaimer: I don’t know much about Mt Peake yet except saw tonight it recently engaged the inventor of vanadium batteries - which seems a bit of a coup- and it had some serious flack going on last year https://www.pv-magazine-australia.com/2022/08/03/company-behind-australias-most-advanced-vanadium-project-embroiled-in-leadership-fight-amid-shareholder-activism/ … presumably now sorted considering the January ‘23 [ name change ] from TNG to Tivan (TVN ) and the appointment as an advisor of [ Maria Skyllas-Kazacos ] at the end of last month.

SMS were involved in the test work and process design for TNGs "Mount Peake" project it's since been proven unviable with material commercial defincies hence they bought out KRRs resource and rebranded TVN and have started again with KRRs old resource that they couldn't find viable either after a few years of trying.

TIV are now working with the CSIRO on the new process flowsheet it appears to me SMS are nowhere near as involved as they were with failed mount peake, to date they have invested in 1.2m in TNG and that was years ago. well and truly made there return off OFF TNG in years and years of test work and waisted studies.

I'd consider this zero threat to TMT and TATA.
