I've watched new technology developments in the energy sector in depth for at least 10 years. I've seen vertical axis wind turbines, wave based generators, triple junction cells with dual axis concentrates, algae & fish based fuel ideas, Stirling engines & hydrogen from sunlight electrolysis - some reached commercialization, some didn't. What won out - silicon based solar panel predominantly because the Chinese embraced on a massive scale the one that worked.
There have been lots of variants of battery technologies, but what I'm seeing once again is the Chinese are embracing two main technologies - lithium for mobile applications, VRFBs for static applications.
Both have the years of data proving they work.
China don't deliberately cause material shortages pushing up prices without a 5 year plan.
Cutting polluting vanadium production.
Rising rebar standards.
Embarking on one bridge one road.
Planning 2 extremely large VRFB installations at the same time.
TNG & SMS are in the cat bird seat to capitalize on this strategy China are engaging in. They just need to get a move on & get this plant built first. Prove TIVAN works.
They'll have a lineup of customers if they do because this run up in V prices follows the pattern of Iron Ore many years ago that led to CITIC & FMG, it continues to this day with multi-billion dollar projects are announced every other year.
3 1/2 years since the DFS, Overalls want to see this BOD understand just how important it is to be first. How urgent it is. Because if they don't, someone else will eat their lunch, patent or no patent.
