Tigers it's such an interesting space.
Since 2013 PB has referred to the unnamed Euro Connection. We had all assumed it related to Battery storage V off take. In 2014 or early 2015 Hardman & Co revealed the entity had offices in Germany and Austria. That pointed to Gildemeister at that time. Jvest posted an outstanding piece of research early 2014 on the subject (sorry can't find the link).
PB always stated he was reserving some V for battery industry and as we know reserved up to 40% when signing the binding deal with WOOJIN in 2015 .
Then when TIVAN test run results were released PB revealed the SMS Seimag link and the TIVAN licencing agreement to which you refer. SMS coincidently have offices in both Germany and Austria.
At about the same time PB revealed the battery storage discussions extended to not only Germany/Europe but also North America.
To date there has been scarcely any more clarification but it might be relevant that SMS is finalising tender plans and docs for fabrication of TIVAN Refinery Plant. There is also included in those discussions finance front Euro sources with in effect German Govt support/guarantees. We know these financial arrangements are regularly uterlised ( my research found 33 last year alone, 2 involving SMS deals) when it advances Euro and German Company interests.
This is where it gets highly complicated or speculative, AVC has Master sales deal with Gildemeister in North America, entered into in 2013. Since mid 2014 AVC has announced it want to have a vertically integrated production, manufacturing, supply network for VRF batteries. They said they want 20% of the global market by 2020. There prospect is not in production yet and best estimates were 2017 but that seems unlikely.
AVC have now entered into a Heads of Agreement to take out Gildemeisters global CellCube energy storage business.
Then along comes AVL announcing they have entered into a sales contract with Gildemeister to market/supply Cellcube systems in Australia. AVL announced in December 2015 that they were focusing on energy storage and a vertical integrated company along the lines of AVC. There website has similarities too. For this to be advance assuming AVC conclude there deal with Gildemeister then Gildemeister will be replaced by AVC in the Australian Supply Deal.
So what's going on. Will TIVAN link all this together. Will TNGs Refinery be run by SMS who under licence refine AVC and AVLs product. Will TNG enter into an off take with some AVC based Co/. Or is TNG in discussions with completely unrelated entity's like Bosch or Siemens both of whom are involved in VRF turnkey systems. Incidently Siemens as I recall are in a JV with a group including a North American entity for residential VRF system. If wrong on this it's another German co/ and I'll correct it later. ( not at home right now so can't confirm details).
Anyway we know 29 February is reveal day for AVC so maybe we'll get some insight then.
The suspense is killing me. Sorry bout the rave. Most will know all this stuff but Its just going round and round in my little bird brain.
