Ok, so that weekly close has really put me out, so I decided to scrap the previous wave count an try another version.

For those that don't give a crap about it just keep the snide remarks off the chart thread please, I am trying to learn and understand why the previous analysis failed.

New count shown below, given the sharp sell off below the previous wave 1 highs, that count has been invalidated, the new count shows a third wave that has been extended in the time scale rather than price. Price wise, it still wasn't the shortest wave so all good there. I think we had a truncated 5th which was followed by the sharp sell off. We should see an ABC pattern next given the previous 4th was a triangle.

@W3hunter @myleogb, any thoughts? Also please tag any others that would like to put their 2c worth in on my new count.
