Yes, it's amazing how similar all these patterns are.
Just knowing about Elliot wave theory has allowed me to temper my expectations, i.e. I was trading Darvas boxes and breakouts etc. but I'm beginning to think a lot of those failed / false breakouts, because they were at the end of a 3rd or 5th wave, stopping me out all the time.
Just keep building the knowledge base.
