I’d like to hear Richard Seville’s take on this. Doesn’t seem to be a smart move at face value. Even at 42,000t/pa orocobre has a ~100year mine life from memory, so it seems crazy to buy advantage v drilling more wells, seems more like a cover up to allow cash burn and delayed profits and dividends. Listening to the half year call Martin struggled to justify the decision. I was shocked at a loss again in the half yearly I expected once we turned a profit it would be green for the foreseeable future. Good news is no hard rockers can make money at 5,000/tonne so the supply will dry up this year.
