Firstly I dont have any qantas shares, but an important question i would like to ask:

if there was not akeover offer at what price realistically would qantas shares be at now?

Looking at past performance I dont think anywhwere near $5

So the offer gave holders a chance to get a return that may not have eventuated for a year or more down the track based on normal market conditions.

SO what is so bad in that?

I hear sack the board etc, but if they were not doing the right thing no-one would want qantas and there would be no takeover offer.

At the end of the day we all invest to make money, all those who had qantas shares before takeover offer had mad good money. I cant see the problem everyone was talking about. Maybe I am on the wrong track, or maybe greed is coming in to it
