By way of separate agreements with Metallica Minerals Limited (ASX Code:MLM), Cougar has
been provided with access to four coal deposits in south-east Queensland in order to study the
feasibility of producing gas from the utilisation of the UCG process. Details of these agreements
were announced to the market by MLM on 18 May 2006. The agreements cover four coal
deposits at Kingaroy, Condamine, Miles/Chinchilla and Injune and have been specifically chosen
by Cougar as potential sites for the long term (greater than 30 years) production of industrial gas.
