Some very relevant information in your post. I have an issue with the title of the new thread though.The 23 billion barrels is:
- an estimation
- it is an estimation for Pantheon (albeit very close neighbour)
- As the article also says, (only) 2.3bn potentially recoverable
Let's all remember that mining anything is very risky and very expensive.
To date the oil-in-place volume is estimated at 23bn barrels, with 2.3bn of those presently deemed as potentially recoverable.Alkaid-2 could lead to an upgrade on those already big numbers, depending on results.
