The tax on petrol ( Aust) was bought in years ago to help pay for the upkeep of Australian Roads. As we all know thats gone by the wayside and only about 20 to 30% is used for roads I can be corrected on that one. Would it be better to scrap tax on petrol so prices of goods are cheaper and peoples weekly budget would also benfit. Please dont tell me keep the price of petrol high to protect the environment.
