Maybe those who insist on purchasing vehicles that chew up fuel like there is no tomorrow should be taxed accordingly. Reducing the excise tax on fuel will just encourage those who have no consideration for the environment and wasteful utilisation of a diminishing resource.
Is it still true that those large 4 wheel drive vehicles are still subject to a lower sales tax (or is it excise?)than ordinary sedans? Why do we still allow these fuel guzzling vehicles to be sold in OZ?
