People who make these sort of arguments should understand that punishment is not just black and white. It isn't a case of death or freedom from being punished at all. Yes heroin is bad. Drug runners should be punished. No one is arguing these facts. The other 7 are in jail for life or 20 years. Why can't that be punishment enough??
