Nope, Rabbi means Jewish scholar or teacher or a person appointed as a Jewish religious leader.

    rabbi
    /ˈrabʌɪ/

    noun

    1. a Jewish scholar or teacher, especially one who studies or teaches Jewish law.
      • a person appointed as a Jewish religious leader.

This is not as grandiose as high sounding members of the so-called anointed by God members of the Jehovah's Witness Governing Body who dictate what members should and should not believe in all aspects of their lives which also includes who they can associate with, what level of education they should or rather should not attain, and many more.

A level of control that would make any Islamic leader green with envy.
