am very interested in market / trading psychology, so will definately look out for those first 2 books.

Have read Chris Tate, D Guppy, L Bedford.

I am reading Darvas for the 2nd time thru. Classic. I will probably read it at least once a year. You're right about luck, but sometimes smart people make their own luck. (As an AFL/VFL follower, I remember a few years ago there was tv ad with Peter Dacos former collingwood player. Advertizing a footy with which to practice all kinds of kicking - he was a goal kicking freek! His punch line in the ad was: "Some people said I was lucky ... and the more I practiced ... the luckier I got".)

It's my practice:
1. to always have book on the go.
2. not to listen to crap re trading / investment decisions (but love the social / ideas interaction on these boards). I have developed/ing a pretty strong information filter.
3. to glean what I can from the input of others like yourself, t4p, Ian_W, etc.

If only learning from our mistakes was cheaper ... !!!
