To loan or not to loan

Hey fellow Raptors,

I've got around 7000 shares with an average buy in of 26c, but I don't feel like I have enough. This stock is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I'm considering taking a loan of 3-5k to average up. I'm only a student and working part-time so repayments on a loan that size will be doable, but not insignificant. I want in, but I'm keen to know if others have margin loaned or taken loans on speccies before. How did they play out? Did you regret doing /not doing it? Any thoughts and/or personal experiences will be much appreciated. Obviously I can't take financial advice from a forum but wanted to get a feel for other's experiences.
