Iran already warned Israel against attacking back. they declared they would make no further attacks against Israel but if Israel attacked them they could expect a much bigger repose from Iran.
Israel has ignored this and seem to actually want a wide regional conflict. they knew the score and so their retaliation is deliberate provocation.
as Chalmers said last night (interview on 7.30) a wider regional conflict with Israel and the Arab state would impact global economics including Aus.
no-one will escape the conflict that Israel is provoking. its in every nations' interests that Israel try to maintain peace. but instead they are pushing for war with the whole Arabic region.
