Putting aside the method of payment, I won't be getting too irritated just yet. Cheque, what a pain.
The announcement made on 20 August regarding accelerated payment terms indicated that the Offer Consideration would be paid within 7 business days (subject to COVID-19 related delays).
My interpretation of this is that the cheque would have been placed in the ordinary post, in Sydney, on 31 August at the latest (7th business day).
Australia Post indicates that the delivery time for ordinary post for interstate metro deliveries is 3-4 business days. Based on that, I would normally expect delivery today or tomorrow.
However, Australia Post has today indicated they are experiencing delays in their delivery times due to a number of factors. In Victoria, Stage 4 workplace restrictions have also had an impact. How long these delays are, I do not know. Your best guess is mine.
