The first time I needed to use a credit card for a free trial, I was wary. Previously, I had only used free Apps with an upgrade feature.
I think going through the App Stores for payment will create a hurdle for corporate customers as it creates an Admin process to reclaim expenses.
For tradies or small business owners, it should not present a hurdle.
All imo.
