    >>Something a bit interesting might be happening. For about a week now, someone has been standing in the market mopping up anything at 17 cents. Every time they get any sort of parcel, they reload.

We know they’re trading about half NTA, but they’re paying a pretty good dividend now and the p/e is not demanding. Also they’ve changed from being the seller of an old mine, to being an investment company (which happens to own an old mine as the copper price rises).

I reckon they would have got into Lihir & Highlands etc., at pretty low levels which aren’t yet reflected in the NTA.

I can’t help thinking that this wouldn’t be lost on Guiness Peat who relieved RIO of Aurora Gold (AUG) at a fairly low price. AUG has since announced the sale of Mt Muro and other assets.

With the PNG Govt absolving BHP’s OK Tedi liability, and the fact that it’s a major shareholder in BOC and committed resource player, I doubt BOC has any environmental liability on Panguna. This provision could also be written back to the bottom line.

It might be timely to have a look at who the buyer is ahead of the election outcome due this weekend.

    Cheers,<<

I just don't follow where you are going ..... Could you explain for me please. I do own AUG.
