    I agree entirely that the US is headed towards a reckoning but I simply did not agree with zen-machine that it would be brought on by the DOW going beyond 11,000. That's all. The global balance of economic power is I reckon shifting towards China and yes the US's growth has been dependent on cheap oil to some extent. We are in for a 10-20 year period of adjustment to this reality. Whether this adjustment happens in a financial market crash or in a more managed way remains to be seen .. I would prefer the latter!
