Hi.
Regards the letter sent by 22 shareholders which was cited by TMT in last week’s Transaction Update:
Your names will soon be published in the upcoming SOA.
I know some feel uncomfortable at this prospect and some think the intent to publish is only a threat.
It is not just a threat.
As the letter comes from shareholders who control more than 9% of the company, naming you is as relevant as naming those who have already registered ‘yes’ votes.
DON’T WANT YOUR PRIVACY COMPROMISED?
It’s as easy as copying this template, adding your details, and sending it to the company.
..Or send it something equally brief but binding.
Dear Ian,
I wish to retract my ‘early vote’ on the AVL/TMT merger sent to you on [insert date of sending].
As you noted in your Transaction Update of 15/11/2023 the vote does not qualify as ‘formal’.You reminded in the update that the SOA and expert opinion are not yet available.Accordingly I wish to withdraw my vote until after I have reviewed these documents.
Kind regards,[insert name and contact details]
NB - this letter does not mean you might change your vote.
It does not even mean you intend to study the SOA and expert opinion.
It just means they have no legal right to publish your name in the SOA.
cheers
