Absolutely, meerkat! I've laughed at many jokes told in this very forum.
Demeaned others -singularly or collectively- is, and I'd like to stress this, TO MY MIND, at least, not funny. I also think that such jokes also speak ill of their teller. A little more imagination will very often, salvage an unfunny joke, a tale that offends.
