Your right Bunn.
Amazing how we turn up in different places. You can be sensible - hehe.
Life is great mate.
But as for that acorn chap -
What a sad negative person he is.
He is right in that it wasn't even called Australia then , but it was after , and that is yet another reason why January 26 is so important.
Some people need some time to read the history books , and the many many positive steps taken since that day , to bring aborigines into our culture and become one.
I know the many disasters too , very sad , but it was a very different era back then , and through the times , the settlers ( there certainly would be setters) , have come to adopt the aborigines as one.
It all started from a January 26.
Two thirds in a recent poll , as mentioned on HC , voted to keep January 26 as our date of coming together of 2 cultures.
lt is so sad , that a few just talk of the negatives ( many , l know as in every countries past ) - but so many more positives - many successful aborigines in our life that get forgotten. I so proud the British were the country to arrive here , and so proud of Australia success's. There are failures , but they are out numbered.
HAPPY AUSSIE DAY
