People of previous generations in Australia survived by hard work and with austerity family budgets , they saved penny by penny to buy that much needed tool and perhaps some for that luxury item , they endured , they did not look for handouts ,
they had spirit of conviction.
These days most folk are fixated on gadgetry , the ME attitude and a sense of entitlement as its their right for everyone else to support them ....they want free education at every one Else's expense and are not prepared to work to supplement their fees . They want everything now with no effort , no constraint upon themselves , they gourge on the tax payers purse and lean on their parents.
Mainly younger generations are WEAK spirited , Greece went into an austerity program to repay its debt and give it a steady foundation for their future , the leftist party will probably win the up and coming election because the populace is weak spirited and cant endure , they have little foresight , Greece will leave the Eurozone and default , it will be ok for a few months and then chaos , back to where they were with no one to bail them out , cheap Greek island anyone....
As Moondog has stated ..we are in the throws of the deathknell of democracy , I would think we could end up be in a void or somewhere between surfdom and communism , it wont be pleasant , the weak will not survive , there will be no handouts , no compromise , and no luxury of compassion , every dog for themselves ......
