As aatisket says, the q. about trial numbers is very simply explained by SI on the Feb. interview (see video in post 17223051 of 9 March, from about 8 min. in). Basically it seems that doubling the observed events to 2 per subject allows a halving of the numbers without loss of stat power.
On the other q. about release of CHF results currently being read, I agree with scepticism about forecast timelines but in this case the Bell Potter analysis of 17 March confidently stated, with emphasis in bold, that results would be announced early Q2CY16. I don't know their source but sure hope they're right. That period starts day after tomorrow. Whenever, it will be a major event for investors. Either way.
