I am glad you are learning. You are looking at about 2% of the total picture, but an important 2%...that is, target recognition.

A good geo will be able to interpret the "blues and reds" by understanding the host rock amd the mineralisation of the area that has been assessed by aeromagnetics.... btw it gets even more exciting using Induced Polerisation (IP) a method of shooting electricity into the ground.
