I guess the markets purpose is close to breaking down,that is raising capital from the public or shareholders for expansion.From that point, a consolidation of companies for survival will be the next step.Past history will be less important only how each company will fare in the future.However with interest rates still low historically,money will surely be available for those that can put forward a good case;but for the retail investor it is probably a good time to do something else.
