Dont agree at all. What attracted me to smoke as a kid was the advertising hype and packaging helped me select the brand I smoked. I was into upmarket stuff and went for Benson and Hedges and their gold pack worked with me.

Fortunately I stopped smoking early, but only because of the first public warning signals from health professionals. I have seen enough pain and suffering of those with emphysema and lung cancer as well as the suffering of their families during and when a father or mother passed away prematurely. Thousands could be saved from this fate in Australia if less people take it up in the first place. These companies sell their product unfettered in third world countries. A disgrace.

Packaging and colours and wording works on all forms of advertising and I reckon everyone knows that and for that reason I believe opponents of this only do it for party partisan reasons or for the money donated to their political party.
