Not sure why you have posted this item regarding VXL under this thread, bergo33, but then again maybe I do

"not a big population or much local industry so there would be a significant cost I would imagine?"

Port Lincoln is said to have the most millionaires per capita in Australia, thanks to it's thriving seafood industry and is home to the largest commercial fishing fleet in Australia - supplying the Japanese market with blue fin tuna, abalone, yellow tail kingfish, oysters (don't tell me you have had a coffin bay oyster or scallop!!! ), etc.

The area is also home to bulk gain loading facilities operated by Viterra - wheat is big on the Eyre Peninsula.

Yes, VXL truck to Port Adelaide - 6 h 47 min (644.0 km) via B100 and National Highway A1 - as there is no container facility at Port Lincoln

But it is still a much "cruisier" drive than from Balama to Port Nacala - check out both on google earth if you have concerns.  I know you said "time" doesn't matter, but why do you think it takes almost an hour more to drive less kms from Balama?

Not sure what VXL's transportation costs are, but they are sending product to market.  Whoever is buying, must be happy with shipping costs from Port Adelaide to their destination

    7 h 20 min (475.8 km) via EN8

VXL is the southern most "graphite wannabee" - but it's not a "wannabee" since it is already producing and selling product.  LML has a couple of projects nearby, AXE is located higher up on the peninsula near Cleve.
